Review management / reputation work

Restaurant reputation management: more honest reviews, every one answered

Your stars and review count show next to your name on Google Maps, Yelp and TripAdvisor. Every SEO package includes a review routine your team runs each shift, with reply templates. Bigger jobs, like a pile of unanswered reviews or a wave of fake ones, get a custom quote.

Case result: review requests were part of the Golden package work that took a local roofing contractor in Florida to #1 in the Google Map Pack. Not a restaurant.

Two levels of review work

Restaurant review management services, in two parts

The first part comes with every SEO package: guests asked, reviews answered. The second is for the weeks when reviews become a problem of their own, priced once we have seen it.

  1. TKT A / IncludedEvery package

    Review-generation work

    • 1xA request routine for every guestThe same ask at the check, in the order confirmation and by QR code at the counter.
    • 1xReview link and QR codePointing straight at your Google review form, so leaving one takes a tap.
    • 3xReply templatesFive stars, mixed and one star, worded with you so they sound like your front of house.

  2. TKT B / QuotedPer job

    Reputation management beyond the package

    • +A backlog of unanswered reviewsGoogle, Yelp and TripAdvisor: a reply written for each, approved by you before it goes up.
    • +Rule-breaking reviews flaggedThrough each platform's own reporting process, with the reason stated. The platform makes the call.
    • +A review-bombing episode documentedDates, links and screenshots of a sudden wave, in one record for the platform and for you.
    • +The routine across several locationsEach location with its own review link, QR code and reply templates.
    • +MonitoringNew reviews watched on the platforms you use, and the ones that need you sent your way.

Not on either ticket: social media. We don't sell social media management, so Instagram and Facebook comments stay with whoever runs those accounts; the restaurant marketing agency page sets out what we leave to others.

Inside the included routine

The same ask for every table, every shift

Reviews come in when someone asks, and keep coming when asking is a habit, not something remembered on a good night. The routine we set up with you folds the ask into steps your staff already take, so it happens on the slow Tuesday as well as the Saturday rush.

Every guest hears it, including the two-top that waited forty minutes for mains. Asking only the happy ones is review gating, which Google's policies forbid, and so is anything given in exchange: no comped dessert, no money off next time.

Where the ask happens3 moments

At the check
A card in the check presenter: one line asking for an honest review, and the QR code.
In the order confirmation
The review link added to the pickup and delivery confirmation your ordering system already sends.
At the counter
The same QR code by the register and on the pickup shelf, for guests who never see a check.

Reply templateOne star / example

"Hi [name], thank you for telling us about [the problem]. That's not the night we want anyone to have. I'd like to hear the rest and put it right: write to me at [email]. [Your name], [role]"

The rules we work inside

What the platforms forbid, and what we refuse to sell

The platforms' rules first, stated plainly. Then ours, which don't change with the budget.

86'd by the platformsTheir rules

  • 86Review gating. Google forbids asking only the guests you think enjoyed themselves.
  • 86Incentives. Google forbids offering anything in exchange for a review.
  • 86Owner and staff reviews. Prohibited on Google, however proud the line is of the new menu.
  • 86Fake reviews. Prohibited, whether they praise you or attack you.

Yelp is stricter. It asks businesses not to ask for reviews at all. So the routine points to Google, and on Yelp the work is replying.

Background: in August 2024 the FTC finalized a rule banning fake reviews and testimonials. This is a summary, not legal advice. The sources: Google's prohibited content policy and Yelp's page on asking for reviews.

Never on our ticketOur rules

  • NoWe never write reviews, for you or about anyone else.
  • NoWe never buy reviews or trade them with other businesses.
  • NoWe never promise a removal. Only the platform removes a review, and only for a policy violation. Anyone selling guaranteed removals is selling something they don't control.
  • NoWe never ask staff, friends or family to post.

How a reputation quote works

A custom quote, from the first email to the finished job

No tiers and no price list here, because review problems come in every size. You get a written scope and price before anything starts.

  1. Order in01

    You tell us what happened

Which platforms, how many locations, roughly how many unanswered reviews, and anything unusual, like thirty one-star reviews in a weekend.

  2. Fire02

    We read your reviews

Your profiles on Google, Yelp and TripAdvisor, read before pricing, so the quote fits the work.

  3. On the pass03

    Scope and price in writing

What we will do and what it costs, by email. Nothing starts until you say yes.

  4. Served04

    The work, then a summary

Replies drafted for your approval, flags filed, records kept, then a written note of what is done and what still sits with the platforms.

When a review says someone got sick

Food-safety complaints: brief in public, the rest offline

A review saying a guest got ill after eating with you needs the most care. Never argue in public, whatever you believe happened.

Reply once, calmly, with a name and an email to reach, then bring in whoever handles food safety for your restaurant. Our templates make no health or safety claims and don't judge whether the complaint is right.

  1. 01One short public reply, no argument

Before you hire anyone

Hiring a review management company: the plain terms

Reviews are one piece of being found: local SEO for restaurants covers the profile and listings, online ordering for restaurants the orders, and restaurant SEO puts it in one plan.

Who does the work
The same team that has done SEO since 2009, by email, with a call whenever you want one.
Restaurants near you
We may work with other places on your street. One client's reviews, reports and plans are never shared with another.
The monthly report
On the SEO packages: every link placed that month, with its live URL, target page and anchor text. Described, never shown as a sample, because each report is its client's.
Link safety
Guest posts on DA 20+ sites, Web 2.0 pages on DA 50+ platforms. Amplification links point at those, never at your site. Every link to your site is in the report.
Canceling
Packages run month to month; one email cancels. Quoted reputation work covers the job agreed in writing.

Packages / month to month / cancel by email

Review work comes in every restaurant SEO package

The request routine and the three reply templates are part of all four packages, next to the Business Profile and listing work. Tiers differ in how many searches we target and how many links we place; reputation jobs beyond the routine are quoted separately.

FAQ

Reviews, removals and replies, answered

For a backlog or a fake-review wave, request a reputation quote. Every other price is on the pricing page.

Can you get a bad review taken down?

No, and nobody honest will promise it. Only the platform removes a review, and only when it breaks that platform's policies, a fake review being the clearest case. When one does, we help you flag it through the platform's own reporting process with the reason stated. For the rest, a calm reply does more for the next guest reading it.

Are we allowed to ask guests for Google reviews?

Yes, as long as every guest gets the same ask. Google's policies forbid review gating (asking only the guests you expect to be happy), offering anything in return for a review, and reviews from owners or staff. Yelp is different: it asks businesses not to ask for reviews, so the routine sends guests to Google and treats Yelp as a place to reply.

How much does restaurant reputation management cost?

The request routine and reply templates come with every SEO package, from $125 a month. Anything beyond that is a custom quote, because the jobs vary too much for a price list: twenty unanswered reviews at one cafe is small, a review-bombing wave across four locations is not. You get a written scope and price before work starts.

Should a restaurant reply to every review?

We think so, five-star ones included: a two-line thank-you shows readers that someone pays attention. Mixed and one-star reviews deserve a calm, specific reply that doesn't argue, offers a direct contact and keeps the details for that conversation. The templates in every package cover all three, so nobody answers from a blank box.

What about reviews from people who never ate here?

Fake reviews are prohibited on Google, so a review from someone who was never a guest can be flagged through Google's reporting process; Google decides what stays. Reply once, briefly, without accusing anyone. If dozens land in a few days, save dates, links and screenshots as they arrive. Documenting a wave like that is part of the work we quote.

Do you write or buy reviews for restaurants?

Never. We don't write reviews, buy them, swap them with other businesses, or ask staff, friends or family to post them. The only reviews this work brings in come from people who ate with you and were asked the same way as every other guest.
