Case study / Local roofing contractor / Florida
A Business Profile rebuild that ended at #1 in the Map Pack
A Florida roofer with happy customers, an incomplete Google Business Profile and few reviews, getting 3 to 4 calls a week, mostly small repairs. Six months on the Golden package rebuilt the profile, cleaned up listings, set up review requests and earned local links.
Where they started
A skilled roofing contractor in Florida with happy customers and almost no presence online: 3 to 4 phone inquiries a week, mostly small, low-profit repairs.
Thin website content, a weak link profile, a Google Business Profile that was incomplete and had very few reviews, and larger competitors holding the local results.
What was done
- Hyperlocal keywords. Service and place searches like "[City] roof replacement" and "emergency roof repair [Neighborhood]", chosen for the jobs worth having.
- Business Profile rebuilt. The profile was rebuilt and completed: geo-tagged photos and a detailed list of services.
- Citations built and cleaned. Listings on the major home-service directories, including Yelp, Angi and Houzz, built and corrected so the details matched everywhere.
- Review requests and local links. A simple process for asking customers for Google reviews, plus links from home-service directories, local community blogs and regional business associations.
What it means for a restaurant
Not a restaurant, but the same Map Pack work: Business Profile, listings, reviews and local links.
Everything on that list has a restaurant version: dish and neighborhood searches instead of roofing jobs, a profile with menu and order links instead of services, Yelp and TripAdvisor instead of Angi and Houzz.
One difference: ask every guest for a review the same way, not only the happy ones. Google's policies forbid selective asking, and it's how our review-generation work is set up for restaurants.
