Case study / Window tinting company / California

One page per city took weekly leads from 5 to more than 280

A California window tinting company losing local searches to smaller shops, with 3 to 5 inbound leads a week. Dozens of city-specific keyword targets and city pages built at scale put them on page one across California cities.

Where they started

A window tinting company able to serve the whole of California, getting 3 to 5 inbound leads a week.

Smaller competitors with a foothold in cities like Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco ranked better locally and took the work.

What was done

  1. Local audit. Business Profile review, citation consistency across directories and the link profiles of the top competitors in each target city.
  2. A page for every city. Landing pages for each target city, built at scale but each written with local content, with local schema markup, targeting searches like "best window tinting in [City]".
  3. Citations and geo-targeted links. A manual citation campaign plus guest post links aimed at the city pages and the domain as a whole.
  4. Reports and call tracking. Monthly link and ranking reports, with call tracking tying the leads back to the work.

What it means for a restaurant

The playbook for groups with several locations: a real page for every place you serve.

A restaurant group with five locations has the same choice: one page that lists five addresses, or five pages that each give Google and guests something real about that location: its hours, its menu, its room, its parking, its neighborhood.

The second approach is what this campaign did at a larger scale. It also works for caterers and food trucks that serve several towns, as long as each page says something true about that place.
